Begin by preparing the crust. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lined baking dish and refrigerate while making the custard.

For the custard, heat milk and cream in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
Gradually pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
Return
the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until thickened.
Pour the custard over the chilled crust and smooth the top.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set before cutting into squares.
