1. Chill Your Tools
Place your mixing bowl and beaters (or whisk attachment) in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before starting. Cold tools help the cream whip up faster and hold its shape better.
2. Whip the Cream
In the chilled mixing bowl, add the cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the mixture on medium speed until soft peaks form (about 2–3 minutes).
Increase the speed to high and continue whipping until stiff peaks form (another 1–2 minutes). Be careful not to overwhip, or the cream may turn grainy or butter-like.
