For the  Velvet Cake:

· 1 teaspoon Cocoa Powder (use natural, not Dutch-processed)
· 1 ½ cups (355ml) Vegetable or Canola Oil
· 1 cup (240ml)  Buttermilk, at room temperature
· 2 large Eggs, at room temperature
· 2 tablespoons (30ml) Red Gel Food Coloring (for a deep, vibrant color)
· 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
· 1 teaspoon White Distilled Vinegar

Groceries

For the Luxurious Cream Cheese Frosting:

· 8 ounces (226g) full-fat Cream Cheese, softened
· ½ cup (113g) unsalted Butter, softened
· 4 cups (480g) Powdered Sugar, sifted
· 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
· A pinch of Salt
