Monterey Sausage Pie

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the beef:
    Pat the beef dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Sauté aromatics:
    Heat olive oil/butter in a pan. Add chopped onion and cook until soft and golden.
    Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds.

  3. Brown the beef:
    Add the beef pieces and cook on medium-high heat until nicely browned on all sides.

  4. Add flavor:
    Mix in paprika, cumin, tomato paste, and soy sauce. Stir well for 1–2 minutes to coat the meat.

  5. Simmer:
    Add the beef broth (or water), bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30–45 minutes until the beef becomes tender and the sauce thickens.

  6. Finish:
    Taste and adjust seasoning. Add a splash of lemon juice if desired.
    Garnish with fresh parsley.
