Instructions
Preheat the oven at 180 ° C (350 ° F).
Prepare the candy:
In a pan, heat the sugar over medium heat until it melts and drink a golden tone.
Pour the caramel into a flan mold and distribute it through the bottom before it hardens.
Prepare the flan mixture:
In a large bowl, beat coconut milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs and grated coconut until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Pour the mixture into the mold with the caramel.
Maria bath:
Cover the mold with foil.
Place it inside a tray with hot water (for Maria’s bath).
Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until inserting a stick into the center is clean.
cooled and unmold:
Let cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
To unmold, pass a knife through the edges and turn the flan on a plate.
Tips
Use roasted coconut as a decoration for an extra flavor.
Accompany with a vanilla ice cream ball or whipped cream.
If you prefer a firmer flan, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in milk.
