Step 1 – Make the Sauce
In a saucepan, combine tomato paste, water, and olive oil.
Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and rosemary.
Bring to a gentle simmer, reduce heat, and cook for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow the sauce to cool, then refrigerate overnight for best flavor (optional).
Step 2 – Prepare the Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, powdered milk, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Add warm water and vegetable oil. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 45 minutes–1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 3 – Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage and ground beef until browned.
Season with salt and black pepper. Drain excess fat and set aside.
Step 4 – Assemble the Pizza
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Punch down the risen dough and roll it out to fit a greased baking sheet (rectangular, school-style).
Spread a generous layer of homemade pizza sauce over the dough.
Sprinkle evenly with the cooked meat mixture.
Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Step 5 – Bake
Place in preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then cut into classic square “school pizza” slices.
