Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients:

· 1 cup (2 sticks or 226g) unsalted butter, softened
· 1 cup (200g) white granulated sugar
· 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar (preferably dark for more molasses flavor)
· 2 large eggs, at room temperature
· 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
· 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
· 1 teaspoon baking soda
· ½ teaspoon baking powder
· 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
· 2 cups (340g) high-quality semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
· Optional: 1 cup (100g) toasted walnuts or pecans, chopped
