Apple Crumble Baked Donuts

Ingredients:


For the  Apple  Donut Base:
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
1 tsp  baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp salt
1 large egg, at room temperature
¾ cup buttermilk
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup finely diced apple (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)


For the Crumble Topping:
½ cup all-purpose flour
⅓ cup light brown sugar, packed
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed


For the Glaze (Optional):
½ cup powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp milk or apple cider
¼ tsp vanilla extract
