All the wonderful uses of squeezed lemons

Lemons are among the most popular and widely used fruits in cooking and household cleaning. However, in most cases, only the pulp and juice are used, while the peel is promptly discarded and thrown in the trash.

Nothing could be more wrong: the peel is the most nutrient-rich part of the lemon, is very versatile, and can be used in many different ways. Below, we list all the uses for lemon peel that will make you think twice before throwing it away.

Air freshener . Cook two squeezed lemons, three sprigs of fresh rosemary, and a teaspoon of vanilla in half a liter of water. Boil for a couple of minutes, then let cool. Pour into a spray bottle and store in the refrigerator. The air freshener is ready to use.

Deodorize cupboards or drawers . Dry the squeezed lemons, then place them in a cloth bag. Add a few spices to taste, such as cinnamon, cloves, or cardamom, and store in kitchen cupboards or bedroom drawers.
