Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer
- Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and preheat for 3–5 minutes.
- Prepare the Ramekins
- Lightly spray the ramekins or muffin cups with cooking spray.
- Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to each cup.
- Add the Eggs
- Crack one egg into each ramekin (over the water).
- Be gentle so the yolk stays intact.
- Air Fry
- Carefully place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5–6 minutes for soft poached eggs, or up to 7–8 minutes for firmer yolks.
- (Air fryer models vary, so check at 5 minutes to see how set the whites are.)
- Remove & Serve
- Use tongs to carefully take out the ramekins (they’ll be hot!).
- Gently lift the egg out with a spoon or slotted spoon.
- Season with salt, pepper, or a sprinkle of herbs.
Optional Toppings
- Fresh chives or dill
- Hollandaise sauce (for eggs Benedict)
- Avocado slices or smoked salmon
- Toasted English muffins
Tips
- Use very fresh eggs — they hold their shape better when poaching.
- If the whites are still runny after cooking, pop them back in for another 30–60 seconds.
- You can experiment with adding a splash of vinegar to the water (helps whites set faster).
